Art Week
Monday 2nd June - Friday 13th June - Art Week
Stonebroom In Bloom
We have had a very busy two weeks at Nursery! We have been celebrating Art!
We have been learning about the wonderful Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky! Kandinsky was famous for painting using bright colours, which expressed emotion.
We have used bright colours in our own art work to make people feel happy.
Kandinsky famously painted concentric circles. We had a go at making our own concentric circles.
We had a special visit from Miss. Walton, our school Art Coordinator, who came to show us how to make sculptures using wire. We made flowers out of wire and tissue paper.
Mrs. Sweeney also came to work with us to make some super cherry blossom art work in the style of Van Gogh.
We also loved reading the story The Boy with Flowers in his hair. Please click on the link on our class gallery page to hear the lovely story that all of the children enjoyed.
Take a sneaky peek at our art work by clicking on the link below!
We will be displaying all of our work at our whole school Art Exhibition on Tuesday at 3.30pm.
We hope you can all join us to see our fantastic work!
A huge thank you to Miss Walton and Mrs Sweeny and all of the children for their hard work.
Best wishes,
Mrs. Beresford, Miss. Rice and Miss. Patton
