Elephants- forest school session24 November 2025 (by Miss Rowland (elephants)) |
We have had a wonderful afternoon at forest school.
We have had such a fun afternoon in Elephant class! We started off on the animal park getting to know the animals and feeding them- thank you Finley for providing lots of apples for the pigs. We then looked at maps of the animal parks. Using our geography skills, we followed the maps to find numbered tigers around the park. We worked collaboratively and showed perseverance. Unfortunately today we could not use the woodland due to work taking place on the trees, so we then wandered down to our school field. Hidden on the field was a huge tiger who we found, cuddled and brought back to the group. We worked together to then build natural tiger art, however our favourite part of this was the process where we collected natural materials, broke them up etc. At the end of our session we went back to the animal park where our class text had a twist ' the goat who came to tea.' The goats were very interested in our hot chocolate and biscuits! Super behaviour and work this afternoon and we had lots of giggles throughout the afternoon. Thank you to Miss T and thanks Elephants for being superstars. Take a look at some pictures by following the link below.
