Year 1 - Science11 December 2025 (by Miss Rowland (elephants)) |
We really enjoyed our Science lesson yesterday.
Our Science lesson was extra special yesterday as we welcomed two visitors to help enhance our learning—Miss Thompson and Shaggy the goat! Shaggy arrived at our back door on his tinsel lead and even spent some time in our classroom. He was so well behaved and absolutely loved all the attention from the children.
We talked about what Shaggy—and other goats—need to stay healthy, including shelter, food, water, space and love. We also discussed the challenges that can arise in different seasons and how these can affect animals. The children were fantastic during the discussion, asking thoughtful questions that really impressed Miss Thompson.
Those who wanted to were able to stroke Shaggy and feed him.
