Eco Committee Project27 January 2026 (by Gemma Phipps (gphipps)) |
Dear Parents and Children
Following the success last year of the 'build a bird box' challenge, the Eco committee would like to invite you all to try a new project...
As part of our aim to improve the bio-diversity of our local area, we're inviting everyone to have a go at making a hedgehog house to be placed in our local woods and hedgerows. These projects were a wonderful way last year for children to work with their families, using tools together and then sharing with the school their super skills. Our birdboxes take pride of place on the playground walls and are showing signs of activity as we approach Spring!.
Please take a look at the link below if you'd like any help in how to build a hedgehog house. The closing date will be the end of the first week back after the Easter holidays (Friday 17th April) and all entrants will receive a prize as well as helping to place the hedgehog houses around the local woods/hedgerows.
Many thanks
Mrs Phipps and the Eco Committee
