Spring 2
What happened to Jack's Beans?
I hope you are all enjoying the start of the half term holidays.
After the holiday the children will be reflecting on their learning and knowledge of the story Jack and the Beanstalk, which we read last term.
We will use their past experience to inform our new learning. We will be planting our very own beanstalks and other plants and observing what happens over the next few weeks.
A lot of our learning objectives for this term will be taken from the Understanding the World section of our curriculum. There will be lots of science links within our big question too.
We will also be investigating animals that grow, by looking closely at how caterpillars turn into butterflies and tadpoles into frogs.
We will also observe changes in our own bodies and talk about how babies grow and develop into children and then into adults.
We will be using lots of our metacognition skills this term and we are sure to have lots of fun whilst exploring and investigating.
If you would like to contribute to this term's learning in any way, please do not hesitate to speak to the Nursery Team. Parents ideas and contributions are always welcome.
Please find lots of information about our new big question by visiting our class page on the link below.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
The Nursery Team
