Hello, 

The Koalas have settled into the new school year brilliantly! They have already produced some super work in their learning and we are so proud of how well they are settling in. 

Reading Expectations

• Time: Children are expected to read at home 3 times a week.

•  Please ensure your child brings both their reading book and reading record into school every single day.

• There will be a reading treat at the end of the half term like in year 3. 

Times Tables Rockstars

• Time: Children need to log onto Times Table Rockstars 3 times a week for 5 minutes each time.

•  Regular practice supports them as they prepare for the Multiplication Check.

Spelling

• Your child has been sent home with a list of spellings today to practice with you at home.

• The children will have three dedicated spelling lessons in school each week to build their understanding, but any extra practice at home will really help consolidate their learning.

• Spelling Test: Our weekly test will take place every Monday.
