KS1 Athletics8 October 2026 (by Katie Rowland (k.rowland)) |
We won the 'Spirit of the games' award tonight at the KS1 Athletics.
Miss Rowland and Mrs Tunnicliffe have had a wonderful evening with some of the KS1 children at the Key Stage 1 Athletics event ran by Amber Valley Sports Partnership. The children participated in long jump, speed jump, chest throw, hurdles and relay races. They all did amazing and what we are most proud of them for is Stonebroom being chosen for the spirit of the games award. This means that the children displayed the following values throughout the night- passion, self belief, honesty, teamwork, determination and respect. We are so proud of them for representing Stonebroom so brilliantly.
